    The original EK II award was changed into an EK I award. The man received the EK II on April 29, 1945 not an EK I.

    It would be interesting to find out what was written originally for the July 15 entry.

    Too bad

    The April 29, 1945 entry clearly shows a Roman # II that has been thickened to look like a Roman # I

    Note; the entry in the middle was added later, squeezed in with different hand writing.

    Only Ostmedaille and EK II for April 29, 1945 are original.

      I removed the middle entry - now you can see that originally it was never there.

        Well that clears that up, pity as its kinda ruined the Soldbuch why wasnt the award thats rubbed out not included on the Personalachweis if its an original document dated Jun 1945 there is no valid reason to omit it.
        cheers Robert

          Robert;
          It might not be an award entry. Often other things are noted on page 22 as well.

          I can read something but I would need a better scan of page 22

          However, as you say someone ruined a nice Soldbuch.

            It's a pity for those fantasy "upgrades".
            Still a nice set from the italian campaign, I wonder if it's possible to erase the faked entries with some chemical product .

              Robert, I tried to read the original entry under the EK II faked entry and as I suspected it is not an award.

              I think it reads: "Führer Paket ausgehändigt" = "The Führer's gift parcel was handed out" dated and signed by an Oberleutnant (i.V. = in Vertretung)
