I am not sure of the kampfgruppe on page 17?

His final post was with Pz Gr. Rgt 111 and he became a prisoner March 28, 1945.

The soldbuch cover is a thick cardboard.

That is

II Bataillon, Regiment Zweibrücken, Kampfgruppe Heitmann, Scharfschützen Ausbildung Kompanie Wehrkreiss XII.

Also known as Kamfgruppe XV.

Who Heitmann was or what Rgt. Zweibrücken was I have no idea at the moment only in some of my references....Zweibrücken was in Wehrkreis XII.

is written " 1 Stck. " - 1 Stück - one piece.

That gives me something to start looking with.

Not sure if that is a k98 makers code or an abbreviation for something.
Although I don't see that makers code in my k98 book.

He was given sniper gear, entered on another page.

When was he issued sniper gear? He was also issued a l.M.G. 42!
Was he issued scope etc.?

He was issued :

a camouflaged jacket
a large net
2 hooks for the net
a mosquito net

Found a little more info but not much....Regiment Zweibrücken was formed from Wehrkreis Unterführerlehrgang XII at Weisse Kaserne in Zweibrücken and was mobilised with a Feldpost number.

So no doubt Scharfschützen Ausbildung Kompanie Wehrkreiss XII was also in Zweibrücken.
