    Soldbuch LuftWaffen

Hello friends, an innocent question ... What mean these numeric labels?

    Many thanks.

They are quarterly checks on the Soldbuch....if I remember correctly Zeitstempel.

You usually find these in Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine Soldbücher. The Army had specific regulations against these and eventually all branches stopped using them in the fourth quarter (September 1) of 1944.

Thanks guys, definitely resolved. Is there any explanation why they did this?

        Regards.

To prove the document had been checked every quarter (3 months!) and that it was in order. The Zeitstempel started on 1.8.1940.
The equivalent in Army and SS Soldbücher is a security check (Prüfstempel) on page 14/15 which started from 1943.
