    I picked up this Soldbuch with much supporting documentation to a Luftwaffe soldier who arrived in Africa on 18 July, 1942

      pages 4 and 5, he was in a supply company of the Luftwaffe

        an interesting slip is glued into the Soldbuch stating that he is a member of a unit stationed in Africa and should he come back to Europe due to injury or sickness he will be routed to a special replacement unit for these Luftwaffe soldiers

          page 10 which lists tropical items issued such as tropical boots, tropical helmet, mosquito net, water bottle (large) and protective glasses, page 11 lists the date he set foot on African soil
