Exists it a book grouping quite the recipendiares of the u-boot badge

DLD13, are there any entries on pages 34-36 as often leaves were signed off by the U-boat commander or the IWO? How about any other feldpost nr.? How about page three entries re: rank changes? All of these if present might help you ID the boat. U-boat badge was instituted in October 1939 so Bauss was an early recipient on November 1939 and probably awarded after his second patrol on the boat. All clues that could help ID the boat. Good luck.

I have known of this Soldbuch for a long time. I did have scans somewhere but no idea if I still have them.

Unfortunately the Soldbuch was opened after his time aboard U-boats.

However, myself and Erich-Jan tried to determine what boats he could have been on by those that put into port on or around the dates of his awards.....unfortunately we did not get anything conclusive!

If you have bought the Soldbuch you might be lucky with information from the Deutsches U-Boat Museum. There is a fee or around €20 depending on what info you get from them.

I have always found them to be exceptionally helpful!
