Hi All.
By the looks of things, Oberschützen Kurt Ziesenheim been in and out of the hospital from 1942-44 (pgs. 14-15) and filled out all his section on leaves with unit stamped (pgs. 23-24).

Does anyone know where the 2/Jnf. Ers. Batl. 163 fought? Where can I find information on German soldiers (similar to US Army's NARA-ADD) and also how to find the owner of the dog tag.

Might be interesting for you to know that code ''34'' at Krankheit (illness) stands for wounds by accident. So perhaps he was involved in a car crash, because he has been in there for a long, long time.

!! Didn't know WAF had all that information...... learned something new.
For those who remember the TV series "Combat" they had an episode "S.I.W." (self inflicted wound) and this reminded be about that episode.
