    Luftwaffe Soldbuch Flieger

Picked this up the other day, and dont know alot as far
    as deciphering these entries.
Hieinz was pretty young, trained to be an pilot?
There are some pages that are a different type of paper
attatched inside, and a loose piece that is for health vacinations
    from the RAD, i think
    No awards
What are the "blocks" on page 1, with the year listed, nothing for 1945

Any help on it would be appreciated.
    thank you

The blocks on page one were quarterly "Zeitstempel" date checks. He was issued the book in the second quarter (II) and the Luftwaffe stopped using the boxes after the third quarter. They began using security checks on page 11 of the new style Luftwaffe book and page 15 of the old style on Sept. 1944. It looks like he was being trained as a pilot.

I`m quite new in SB subject so could you tell me what originally was on 11 page of new style SB? Was it "In das Lazarett mitgegeben"? Second question: When was new style SB first introduced?

You are correct about what the heading was but it was rarely used and so sometimes the heading was crossed out and sometimes not when used for the security check. I really don't know when they were introduced.

There are a couple of Feldpost numbers in the book.

The first authenticating the photo belonged to:

52145 - Stab, III (Ausbildung) Bataillon, Flieger-Regiment 32. At the time it was stationed in Angers, France.

The second on the medical examination for aircrew belonged to:

00513 - Regimentsstab, II Bataillon, Flieger-Regiment 32. At the time it was stationed in Angouleme, France.

After the evacuation of France the Regiment was disbanded October 1944.

He is not mentioned on the German War Graves site so could well have survived the war.
