To all involved in this thread,
I did a cleanup to get rid of the useless comments. Next time there will be infractions and timeouts. Keep discussion limited to the item in question.

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

Bottom line, Karl Peemuler is worthy of research and will have had an extraordinary career. Your right those prerequisites you just mentioned regarding initial entry into the 1st Kompanie would have discounted thousands upon thousands of applicants. Seems you have a deep routed hatred of the Waffen SS if your interested in how a British soldier could come to regard these men as an elite, try reading " It never snows in September" by Robert J Kershaw, he as achieved a fairly unbiased account of some of our best (British Para's) fighting some of their best Waffen SS the author is retired Para Trooper Officer and as managed to collate many first hand accounts from both sides.
Original Wehrpass with an interesting promotion date to Hauptscharführer.
Feldpostnummer: 16443 was assigned to Panzer-AOK 6 from November 1944 to the end of the war. Peemüller was transferred to Panzer AOK 6 in March 1945.
Since the entire Wehrpass is stamped and signed by Panzer-AOK 6 - am I correct in the assumption that this Wehrpass is a Zweitschrift issued some time in March 1945?
Hauptscharführer Karl Peemüller V/36, is mentioned in the LSAH Divisional history (1. Kompanie).
It is a nice Wehrpass to a verified person.
However, I'm sceptical of the Iron Cross entries for several reasons. But before I elaborate I would like to hear what others think.
.
Glad to see you've took a good look at this this entry certainly is in a different ink and quite rough, I have tried requesting is records from some of the other sources mentioned in this forum so if I drop lucky this may at least authenticate weather or not he merited these last two awards.
Congratulations on owning such a cracker of a Wehrpass to an early volunteer of Hitlers finest
I'm well impressed with it plus wont ever part with it, if your good self or anyone on this forum knows of any similar 1st company or prestigious Waffen SS Wehrpass / Pay books etc then this could be my new direction in receiving more red bills than usual!! thanks.
