    Hello all.

    Could you please take a look at this picture. I'm close to 100% sure its a recent replacement, but just wanted to make sure.

    I've studied it under UV-light, and it doesnt glow

      Unforgenantly, the Soldbuch is in very rough condition and a few pages is missing, but I will post the scanns I have.

                Looks like he's got a Gefreiter chevron on his arm.......according to the Soldbuch he never reached that rank.

                  I assume that if a picture got lost and replaced during the war it would have been validated with new corner ink stamps, which are missing in this case
