For each soldbuch I keep them in little plastic sleeves that I bought from http://janssen-militaria.com/oscommerce/. They fit them perfectly. They are probably made for passports or something, but work well.

First of all congratulations for your collections and the dispaly ... I also just keep them in bags made of polypropylene .. I try to handle them as little as possible (to watch them use their scans above) but the pleasure of handling them physically remains unique ...

Where can you get these acid free plastic sleeves? I've looked for them but till now I have not found a shop who sells them.

I keep my Soldbücher and Wehrpässen in plastic sleeves designed for keeping First Day Covers (FDC) in!

For documents I used normal A4/A5 plastic document sleeves...normally from Staples or computer/office shop.

These then are filed in A4 binders.

Here is a photo of some...taken a while ago but shows roughly what I mean! There was a thread on the forum regarding some of my binders from 2002 when this photo was taken, the text is still there but the images long gone

                  /Ian

The UK collector storage company http://www.arrowfile.com sell them. For Soldbuch/Wehrpass the perfectly sized ones are here http://www.arrowfile.com/arrowfile-6...&sessionID=EUC and is what I use for my collection. They are double sided but are more suitable if you only use one side, and you can always use the reverse side to store write-ups or things like Führerschein etc.

I collect mainly deathcards, so the plastic sleeves must be smaller than those for Soldbücher.

Very nicely stored, Ian... If that was taken some time ago, I can only imagine how big the pile must be now
