It was part of the 210 Infanterie Division which was a coastal defence division under the XIX gebirgs korps and based in Finnmark county, north norway.
It spent its time guarding the coast but it was closer to combat than any other such division in norway. In fact although based on norwegian soil, it didnt come under AOK Norwegen but the 20 Gebirgs Armee.

Members of the division also qualified for the Lappland shield.

The commander of the 20 gebirgs armee until his death on the 23 june 1944 was indeed Generaloberst Eduard Dietl. After which it was Lothar Rendulic until Jan 45 then Franz B******246;hme. Both Dietl and Rendulic were awarded the swords to their RK for their command of this army.

I've come across the auction for this SB and i should warn you that some moron has messed around with it.

The promotions to Hauptmann and Major are fake. His final rank was Obersekretär as you can see from page 20a where he confirms receipt of payment from the exchange of norwegian kroner for reichsmarks.

Also, most of the decoration entries are fake.

He received the KVK2 w/S and the Lapplandschild

the EKII, EKI, DKiG and panzer sturmabzeichen entries are bad.
