    last weekend I did pick up a WH dog tag: does anybody knows the meaning of the stencilled numbers on it?

      ...but where is the missing S of WehrmachtShund ?

        via Google I found another similar dog tags ( original IMHO) , and all also with the missing "S" :

          Thanks for the answers: I was also thinking about the possibility that VIII was the werkreis number but it was just a thought. About the missing "S" it's a good question
