Now that I see it here on the forum this seems like a VERY nice group.

It was at this auction-site for quite some time though. I looked at it as well but the seller was somehow not able to provide good pictures.
My question was: is the lower of the two pictures the one which originally belonged to the soldbuch?

If yes - this is one damn nice group!

PS: same thing in German - ist das untere der beiden Bilder das welches ursprünglich im Soldbuch war? Der Verkäufer konnte irgendwie keine
Bilder liefern mit denen man das überprüfen konnte.

Very nice ID 32 group Thomas. He had quite a career going from driving trucks in the divisional supply column to one of the Grenadier Regiments. Probably transfered over sometime during 1943 and saw quite a bit of combat service and wouinds.

I have never seen a Jäger Kompanie as part of a front-line Grenadier Regiment on an Infantry Assault document before! Great SB photo of the M-43 tunic and field cap in wear. The detail of the Demyansk Schild shown with dark cloth backing is really fine too. Were you able to see the older photo underneath?

@Jochen1000 Maybe the second photo was the real one but of the first photo with all awards stand his name and Lazarett Borna bei leipzig 21 februar 1945 , and I think to find a other soldier with identical awards ( CCC,Eastmedal,Ribbon clasp for Ek2 and KVK , and the Demjanskshield ) have the self chance than a snowball in the sun

Thanks, for posting both photos. In my opinion it is the same man. The second photo was added later. How much later is unknown, but no sooner than early 1945. It could have been added post-war. Again for reasons unknown. The second picture was definitely taken for some type of passbook, or pass type document.

No question the man in both photos is Josef Buske. Very nice grouping indeed!
