    WP Award entries - Heer

    Hi All,

Could you give me your opinions on these award entries in a Wehrpass to a soldier KIA in 1942. They were both made after his death.

Oh moving away from award entries, what do you think of the last promotion entry? - No authorising stamp but made by the same person who made the award entries after he was KIA in Russia...is it bad, or just paranoi from learning more ?

      Thanks, help is much appreciated.

I am not an expert on WPs/SBs, but I guess that an entry in a WP without a stamp could be OK, but in a SB there has to be a stamp.
The soldier never had the WP, but the SB was always with him and therefore a stamp was a must in the SB (when checked by the Feldgendarmerie for example).

No problems there....it mentions the abbreviation "Kr.St.Rolle" which was Kriegsstammrollenblatt or war roster sheet...these were filled in for any ammendments to the Wehrpaß or Wehrstammbuch.
What these entries say is that the entry has been taken from the above sheet and amended in the Wehrpaß.

It is not uncommon for awards to be entered after the holders death....either won at the time and not entered or awarded posthumously.
