    Luftwaffe Wehrpass - Help Needed

    Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to research this Wehrpass but struggling to read some of the entries.

For example on the service page, what are the entries before Jagdgeschwader 144 please? And can anyone tell me what it says after Jagdgeschwader 144 but before JG 76 (assuming I have read the entry correctly)? Was he transferred to JG 76?

Also, on this page detailing the actions he was involved in, why are several of the entries for 1940 crossed out in red?

    Thanks for looking.

    All the best,
    Toby.

      Before JG 144 I read:

      8./Artl. Regt. 16 Iserlohn
      Fliegerhorst Kommandantur Dortmund
      Fliegerhorst Kompanie Mannheim

After JG 144 I read in the added line: "umgerüstet in"

        page 32:

the word written in red means "geändert 27.2. .." - changed (date)

          Gerdan,

Are you sure, I see Gestr. am 27.2.42(?) as in Gestrichen. - Cancelled/Deleted.

Either way, the reason it is in red and has been cancelled is because he did not take part in that action, either the unit did not and it was entered in error, or he was on leave, course or something similar.

Jagdgeschwader 144 (schwere) became Zerstörergeschwader 144 on 1.1.1944. and on 1.5.1939 became Zerstörergeschwader 76. I Gruppe/144 (Stab I and 1-3 Staffel) became II Gruppe/76 (Stab II and 4-6 Staffel).

          /Ian

Ianduring I was reflecting how I could translate "gestrichen" - deleted -in my best English I made the mistake to write down "geändert"

Naturally it is "deletet " - gestrichen. Sorry.
