But it was nice to meet you face to face, to have that great and very interesting Soldbuch you show us here - in my own hands.

All those fighting years, all those combats, all those gallantry awards he earned, wounded five times in one year........and at the end of the war he was still a Gefreiter.

A real killer Soldbuch and documents grouping of a real Frontschwein.

Now look at his hospital time, 7 wounds and the second week of August 1.943 was a hard one.

Hi Angel,

I mentioned "wounded five times" as if I remember well - that number was mentioned on his gold wound badge document.
I didn't count them in the Soldbuch itself.

And now I have much more time to have a good look at that beauty than when I had it in my hands.

Eric he received his 5th wound on October 27th, 1.944 and other on November 9th, his 6th and last, I made a mistake and I think only 6 times wounded as no conexion after his wound on October 27th and the one mentioned on November 9th, maybe he was transfered to the hospital so only 5 or sufered another on November so 6, need further research.
