    Wehrmacht Driving Licence, regiment help please.

    Hi,

    I have just got hold of a couple of these driving licences in a local flea market but I cannot find what the regiment/unit could be on this one.

    If somebody could please help then that would be great

    The unit seems so be Luftgaukommando XI.

    No frontlineunit but the HQ of all Luftwaffe units (e.g. airfields replacement units ect.) in a certain sector.

    XI = Hannover / Hamburg

      Thanks for the reply, what is confusing me is what the LHG Or IHG could be on the first page.

      I was thinking this could be a unit but I could be very wrong

        On the front page I read "SHG - Abschnitt VI" but I do not know the meaning of the abbreviatin.

          Don´t know what SHG - Abschnitt VI means, but the "unit" thats written on the inside does not
          always have something to do with the one on the outside.
          So maybe the guy has nothing to do with Luftgaukommando XI.

          Sometimes a Soldier that was in the unit written on the front got his WFS via the unit written on the inside.
          If so, then most of the time the unit on the inside is some sort of motor-pool unit.

          Here an example.
          The unit written on the front was Sicherungs-Regiment 200.
          But the unit written on the inside was Kraftfahr-Park 668.
          I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
          Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.
