nice! pity the KVKII doc isnt with it.
By the time he joined the abteilung it was only equipped with the Pz.III ausf.N, various 5cm long barelled Pz.III variants and a company of 10 Stug III ausf.G. Even though these tanks were outdated, several still found their way into post-war Norwegian service.Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

Jim,
Great Panzer-Abteilung Norwegen Soldbuch and Wehrpass set! It's been almost a week since someone has posted some new, quality material.
Here's a thread that Simon started on the recovery of three Panzer IIIs that may have been from by this very unit (or Pz.Abt.211.) Used by the Norwegian Army after the war, buried in the 50's/60's and uncovered in 2006/2007:

Again, just a wonderful set, Jim! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

Eric-Jan, it is the first stamped entry like that which I have also seen referencing that he had been briefed on how to prevent getting VD. I once had a Panzerzug Soldbuch (Pz Zug 25) with the owner wearing a Stug jacket and in the rear was a "Bordellschein" which had been stamped by the company Sanitäter that the soldier had been checked after "doing his duty". I foolishly gave this up years ago!

Hi Jim,
I once did have a Soldbuch of a young soldier who served on a Panzerzug.
In the back there were some Bordellscheine too.
Don't remember the places in France that were on it, neither the names of the "Partnerin".
Some info I remember of them:
One was for the "Mickey Bar" another for "Le Chat Noir"
Name of the partner, not to wear the dogtag during a visit, only to have sexual intercourse with rubber protection, good cleaning after the visit, and to keep the Bordellschein for a couple of weeks after the visit.
So to say it was a Soldbuch of a rare unit with some rare extras.
Yes I was foolish too, to give up that Soldbuch and the extras.

could it be that you got the Soldbuch from a Dutch dealer named Bornebroek (I am not sure the spelling is correct)? We may be talking of the same Soldbuch as your description sounds familiar. I used to get much more than I find now and he helped take some of the "excess" items. He was always on tour in Germany and often showed me some of his incredible finds.

Hi Jim,
Spelling of his name is correct.
A very nice man, and one of the first to start with documents, Soldbücher and Wehrpäße in a time not many collectors were interested in such material, most of his finds mades it way to dealers all over the world.
I know him since the 80ties.
And over all those years I was able to buy some great material from him.
If I remembember well the brothels were located in Southern France.
Could be the same train number and same man.
Was he KIA at the end of the war ?
He served his entire wartime carreer on the same train, first in the East later in the West (and to the East again ?).
I bought that Soldbuch in the late 80ties early 90ties from him.
It went to another collector and from there to a collector who only bought it for the Bordellscheine.
