    Award in Soldbuch picture

    Is anyone able to identify what award this soldier is wearing? I didn't even notice for a while that there was an award on his pocket since it is sort of obstructed by the stamp and such. Anyway. There is no awards listed in the book either...

    It looks to be the Wound Badge possibly? But at the same time it doesn't really look like that to me...



    I zoomed it on it too.

        What is the writing in the lower corners of the picture? Never seen that.

          I believe you guys are right about the DRL Badge.

          I've always thought that writing is the photographers 'stamp'...

            The writing in the lower corner of the photo is "John B. Carinov (?)".
            I guess it is the name of the photo shop. It could be corresponding with the number "8" on the lower left side.
