Thank you all ! I was sure that is was going to surprise some papers collectors .. on another hand, it will be interesting to know what was the worldwide military politic for twins during WWII...

By December 1943, Erich & Erwin joined the Flugzeugführerschule A in Göppingen then was sent F.F.S. in Wiener-Neudstadt. There they
      were trained on double-engine planes.

This picture was taken on 07.08.44 and shows Erwin (1st on the right)
in front of a Siebel 204.

Then, they were moved from one flying school to another flying school
        without receiving anymore pilot training.

From Prag-Rusin aerodrome they were sent to the jump school of Gardelegen. Then they were sent into the last combats in Germany.

On 24 March 1945, they came in American captivity by Niederetscheid (Rheinland).

Did they walk hand in hand going the same direction their entire life.......well during their wartime service they did.

US Captivity in Cherbourg. For them a starving period in the US POW Camp 301.

Then they were moved on 11 August 1945 to a French POW Camp.
Erich get the POW Nr.696.103 and Erwin Nr.696.104. On 28.08.45 they moved to a MINENSUCHKOMMANDO in Villers-Bocage.

        Postcard sent to their family

The rest of the story is quite sad.

Erwin's brother Erich get killed while he was demining an anti-tank mine.

Erich was buried in Villers-Bocage and was moved to La Cambe afterward.

Erwin moved then to Fleury-sur-Orne and his captivity ended in December 1947.
