    No awards

I just received a small soldbuch lot, its an early soldbuch (so without the 8a-b and award page).
He was in the army from 1 September 1939 till 1945, made some promotions.. but no awards... not even the ost medal or kvk.

I still need to research it (really just got it for like 15 min.), but i was wondering if anyone else has a soldbuch of a soldier that
was in the army the whole war and got no awards? I mean, wouldn´t someone at least get a kvk for helping out 5 war-years?

Need to do some work now and then i got some time to look into this new Soldbuch
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

I have a couple of soldbucher in my collection where the soldier served for the majority of the war (if not all of it) and end up with absolutely no awards. One was in a number of Artillery Beobachtungs units while another joined the Heer in January 1940 started off in the Infantry (Inf Rgt 626) before undergoing medic training and ending up in a number of Panzer units, including a Tiger unit, with the last date in the soldbuch being December 1944. Neither have any awards listed in their soldbucher.
It may be a case that an award was, for whatever reason, omitted from the soldbucher as I have also seen soldbucher where the soldier suffered a combat injury and spent time in a lazarett but no entry for a Wound Badge was made in the soldbucher (admin oversight perhaps?)

        Thanks for your reply!
I did a quick look, mine appears to have been in a MG btl. first, then Kradschutzen btl., nachschub kompanie,
Kraftwagen kol. and then got medic training! After that he spend allot of time in Feldlazarett (mot) 614.
And later in the war (must be from late ´44) he went to 2 units in the 205 ID.
Which got caught up in Kurland.

He got wounded or sick in feb. 1945, but i can´t make out what happend, yet.

I bought it because next to the fact that the Wehrmacht-Führerschein was with it, the picture difference between the one in the WFS and Soldbuch is nice.
In the WFS he looks "fresh" and in the Soldbuch he looks like he has seen a lot!

Oh it appears he went to Gren.Ers.Btl. 53 first (Dec. 1944) after his time at Feldlazarett (mot) 614.
For how long i don´t know. After that it looks like he went to Feldersatz-Bataillon 205 and then Grenadier-Regiment 335 (last 2 are both in the 205 ID).
