            Thanks, Rob

I have some more books to post in the coming days, including a KIA WP that I will post exactly 65 years after the poor man got killed at Poteau...

To continue that thread, here oneother, but very "special" : a Sb of Lw member of Panzer Brigade 150. Indeed, the man belonged to KG 200, later Fj. Batl. Schluckebier and in december 44, to Fj. Regt. zbv.
Of particular interest is the signature of one unknow SS Ustuf. (see last photo) for a combat leave ("Einsatzurlaub") given in january 45, just after the Ardennes Offensiv. The leaves are always signed by the compagny chief.
The man joined later FjR 26 and died in Eastprussia in february.

It is true, there should be more comments. Believe me I love seeing these fantastic soldbücher but I don't want to spoil the thread with constant postings full of applause.

Thanks a lot to you Luft and all the other guys who keep posting their soldbücher - it is real joy to see these!

                    Killed today.....65 years ago.

Ok, not a SB, but a Wehrpass today.

This book belonged to Karl Bügener.
His combat career started already in 1940.
Serving with different units during the war, earning the ostmedaille and the EKII, he ended up with 18 VGD in 1944.

Participating in the Ardennes Offensive, he saw action at Sankt Vith.

On 23 December however, after the fall of Sankt Vith, when his regiment saw action against Poteau (miswritten in the WP), he got killed.

He got the IAB posthumously awarded.

He is buried at Recogne War Cemetary between Bastogne and Houffalize.

In April 1944, he saw sevice on the Krim, for which he got the EKII (which was awarded on the birthday of the Führer).

he also got wounded on the Krim, but the BWB was not entered in his WP.

A very nice and poignant Wehrpass; thanks for showing.

I have been thinking a lot about the Ardennes (and other areas0, 65 years ago ...
