The Sturmabteilung 226 changed on 14.02.1944 in "Sturmgeschütz Brigade 226" and assigned to the 18th Army in the "Heeresgruppe" Nord in Russia.

thanks, unfortunately this is often the case where the battle activities are not known or entered but still a nice Wehrpass.

Hi to all. I will use this thread to ask something else

About his role on the stug, "Ladekanonier" and "Richkanonier",he is the guy who reload the cannon?

About the military action page, anybody could read and translate?

                          thanks,gabriele

the translation for the first entry is "coastal protection on the channel and Atlantic coast." The secornd enty simply says that the battle actions are not known or have not been received and this is not an uncommon entry.

A Ladeschutze or Ladekanonier is a loader
                            A Richtschutze aims the gun

It is important to know that it was not uncommon that both could do the others job in an emergency and the gun crews were of course very well trained in this regard and by this soldier it is also the case.

                              Thanks for the fast reply.

So one aim and the other reload. Maybe the first entry, aim role, was in his duty on the artillerie regiment before he come in the stug...

If there is something else to take attention, tell me

                              thanks again,gabriele
