Does anybody has a Volkssturmsoldbuch with award or promotion entries or an award document for a Volkssturmmann? Because I´ve neither seen a Volkssturm Soldbuch with an award listed nor an award document I would be very interested in an example!!!

Also pictures of members of the Volkssturm wearing any kind of medal or award are welcome! I already know the famous picture of Bataillonsführer Ernst Tiburzy.

Hello,

Here is an image of a document of my collection. It is not about decorations awarded during the service in the Volksturm but it is the only document that I found with decorations.

The document was attributed to a man demobilized in August, 1943 suite amputations at the level of the feet. Engaged as Zugführer in the Volksturm in October, 1944, Gaue 9 , 2. Kompanie, 4. Battalion (z.b. V.).

What is really difficult are Soldbuchs/award docs showing awards issued while in the Volkssturm.

That´s right! Although there were not so few medals given to members of the Volkssturm, only a few of these documents seem to have survived.
Because of this I would like to see Volkssturm Soldbücher with award entries and it doesn´t matter WHEN they where awarded, also any picture of a Volkssturm soldiers wearing any kind of medal/award!!
