Hello Gentlemen,
Today I thought I would share with you a dogtag I have had in my collection for many years. It came together with another dogtag to the RHG formation (Regiment Hermann Goring).
This one is simply marked R.G.G. with the wehrnummer 1. I myself feel that this dogtag is completely original. For me, the question is to whom it may have belonged. There is no company or staff affiliation, as is sometimes seen on higher ranking dogtags. For example, I have one dogtag for a divisional commander, which is marked to the Stab Jnf.Div.82. It would certainly be fun to speculate as to whom this may have belonged. The regiments commander, or Hermann Goring himself? Does anyone know if Goring had a dogtag and if so, what inscription was on it?
Thank you,
Curtiss
