Nice thread guys!
Let me add my soldbuch here of a soldier who was with Heeres Art. Korps 411. This was not volksartillery but I feel it fits in this thread anyway. The unit became later part of Pz. Div. Müncheberg.

This soldier was in Afrika with Stuka-Geschwader 3 in 1942 - and ended the war as a gunner not far from Berlin. I guess it is safe to say that he knew the ups and downs of the German warmachine.
