Just got a SS HJ sniper who fought in normandy. with lots of docs on him and his POW released papers. Also his wife's career as a KZ camp guard.

also i think is rare and very nice a LAH Panzer driver with his Panzer IV driving licence.

I fully agree with this point of view
Also, some docs may be more or less desiderable depending on a personal interest. I would be able to pay a high price for the Wehrpass of a soldier wounded or killed in the village where my family lived during the war, no matter if the man was a normal Landser with a common k98!

The Abwehr soldbuch I posted a couple weeks ago is definitely rare. Also the Panzer Kompanie Brandenburg , of the comments I have gotten , no one has seen an id before until my wehrpass with supporting paperwork.

For me rare and desirable are:

Panther commander from Pz. Rgt. 1 decorated with the EK I
DKiG Soldbuch to any member of 1 Pz. Div. awarded in 1.942
CCCiG Soldbuch with CC day list
Spanish Blue Division Ausweise for a soldier awarded the EK
Soldbuch to a TDB holder with citation to it (Heer)

If I found one of this list I will be more than happy.

                  Angel
Looking for DKiG Heer winner Soldbuch who also won the TDB and/or CCC, specially in Silver.

Have you seen ANY Stalingrad Soldbücher with CC day lists? They are extraordinarily rare. I have a large collection of Stalingrad SB/WP, and not one of them has a CC list. I've seen three really nice Stalingrad Soldbücher with CC day lists in other peoples collections, but that's it.

                      Well.

I guess it depends on what your collection focus is? As Hank C. mentioned, all ID's are uniqe, so every story is different. How interesting the story is....thats another discussion.

I collect Wehrpässe from soldiers KIA in Poland 1939/Norway 1940/France 1940.
Out of these, KIA's from Norway 1940 would be the most rare. A KIA from Denmark 1940 would be extremely rare. I also have a KIA Wehrpass from the invasion of Luxembourg 1940....which I guess is pretty rare?
