                      Females had to pay a lot of money if they wanted to learn flying. In the 3rd Reich females were supposed to stay at home, and take care of their husband and children.

                      Later in the war, female glider pilots were used as glider flying instructors.

                        Very interesting Henrik,

                        I suspected there was something like that behind it. I wonder if she became an instructor.
                        Do you know how normal it was for women to go on to powered aircraft as opposed to staying with gliders?
