    Soldbücher for Females??

    Hey guys,

I poke around a few sites for soldbuchs and came across one that had a soldbucher for a female. I'm sure these aren't common but I would like to see some if anyone has them!!!

They are certainly out there. I saw one a while back that belonged to a female concentration camp guard. I have also seen a few luftwaffe ones. Here is one on the forum. Check this thread:

The ones I have seen have been officials or civilians that have been given a Soldbuch as a form of ID rather than them being military. In the event of one being issued to military personnel it must be due to they do not have the correct one available!

Here's one thread I posted some time ago regarding female ID's, however the others appear to have gone so I will post in this thread later.

I'm sure many collectors would be very, very interested in seeing this "Soldbuch" to a Female KL Guard. Please do post if you have scans, or post the link where scans can be viewed.

              Many Thankx...

The OKW issued an order on 30.8.41, saying that only military members could be issued a Soldbuch. Since many units were issuing them to non-military members, both men and women, another order came out saying the word "Soldbuch" should be sricken out on the cover and a notation with signature was to be used on page one. Like everything else, there were those admin people that did what they wanted anyway. Actual Soldbücher to women are not that common.
