    Wehrpass with uniform photo

Someone knows the reason for this pictures in uniform on Wehrpass. As you can see from the photos in the wehrpass is not fixet with rivet is original and not replaced. Perhaps because the soldiers came from the Austrian Army after the Anschluss and has been used a old picture of this period, and it was an unteroffizier?

This method of attachment with uniform photo is normally carried out when the soldier is already in the Wehrmacht when his Wehrpaß was issued, and is made out by his unit rather than Wehrmeldamt or Wehrbezirkskommando.

As I could remember this Wehrpass, was it a 'Zweitschrift' ?
That could probably be the reason why it has an uniform picture.

Yes, if it's a Zweitschrift this can be for sure a reason why the WP has an uniform picture.

                  My books:

                  - THE WEHRPAß & SOLDBUCH OF THE WH
                  - THE SS TK RING
                  - THE ITALIAN-GERMAN MEDAL
                  - THE ANTI PARTISAN BADGE
                  - THE AWARDS OF THE LW

                  and more!

thanks Antonio and thanks Dennisb. I do not sure that is one Zweitschrift why the date of issue is 20.Juli.1939 and two pages of stamps of regiments from 1940 to July 1944 (J post this tomorrow) He was a soldier coming the Austrian Army (form 1937), an NCO by profession, could also be the reason for this photos in uniform without rivets?

Look on the front cover, if there is written 'Zweitschrift' he possibly died and this Wehrpass was made to sent to the family.

If that was the case he wouldn't have signed it! Feldw. Alois Ettl

I think this WP is a first issue and it s not uncommon to see them with uniform picture.

I dont see anywhere saying zweitschrift

can we see the other pages and front cover as well?

Well, the question is: did he sign it?
Who would sign his own signature with 'Feldwebel' ?

I don't say it is not a first issue, and ofcourse it is possible to see them with uniform picture, but as I remember this Wehrpass I thought it was a 'Zweitschrift'.

You can not see 'Zweitschrift' because it was mostly written on the cover.
We can only wait for more pictures.
