Great WP, Christopher. Lots of good entries. I like that Afrika medal ribbon being worn on his black wrap in that portrait photo.

Tommy, that looks like a well-used and worn s.Pz.Abt.507 Tiger unit Soldbuch I'd love to see more of the pages!

            Thanks for sharing, guys........

Thought I'd add this one to the thread (I started a separate thread with more scans which can be seen here):

Soldbuch to a Tiger II crew member of s.SS.Pz.Abt.501, along with his SS-Führerschein qualifying him to drive fully tracked armored vehicles over 30 tons.

Notice that page 03/04 came loose and was taped back into the Soldbuch - backwards!

I add this my soldbuch..just seen on the forum but not yet added to this fantastic thread.

It is the soldbuch of the SS-Unterscharfuehrer Herbert Kallert.

Kallert served exclusively with SS Panzer-Pionier Battalion 9 of the 9th SS Panzer Division "Hohenstaufen" from 1 December 1943, but from his awards we can see a Tank Assault Badge in silver awarded in December 44.

The fact that Kallert received the Tank Assault Badge in silver shows that he served in a tank and participated in at least three tank battles.

After my researches I can risk the hypothesis that he fought in a tank during the battle defending Arnhem in September 44.
