    Hi Andreas

I ask for Panther because of that entry on pic 5 from 16.01.1944 - 05.02.1945 he was by the 1 (Panther) PZ. Rgt 15 ????

Do you think the Wehrpass was original identical if he was Panther Man or only normaly Tankdriver ??

Regards and thanks a lot for help

    Thomas

KWK 42 L/70 is indeed the Panther gun for which he got training.
So, I don't see a reason to doubt about he being a Panther man.

          Indeed, now I saw it.
I thought it was your page.

A 3.7 cm wasn't definately in use anymore in 1944-45.
So, as you see on page 21, he was trained to drive " vollkettenfahrzeuge" and "halbkettenfahrzeuge".
Trained tankmembers were in 1944, 1945 very wanted, so I don't see a reason why he shouldn't have been used as a Panther driver.

In jan / feb. 1945 more than 500 Panzer III are still in use....

Maybe with a 5 cm gun or as a chasis with another buit up, but with a 3.7 cm gun....

Also note that the individual in the photo is wearing a EKII ribbon. This replacement Wehrpass was issued on 24.September 1944, but he was not awarded the EKII until 16.October 1944.

Sorry, Thomas... I hope you didn't lose too much on this one my friend

                  Hi Rob

I think he put the photo in it after 1944 or the was put in it from a other person for better sale

The only thing why I think he was in Panther Regiment was the entry on pic 5

                  First (Panther) Panzer Regiment 15

For me was the unit not important only if the full Wehrpass was original or a complete fake !!!!

With a replaced photo I can live but if the rest faked too than was a other thing

                  Regards Thomas
