      Hello Thomas and all, I have been off line for a while due to business (this is only my hobby!). As an older soldier he was not so highly decorated and you will note that he was later in the "Werkstattkompanie" (repair company) when in Pz Abt. Norwegen, so we can assume that he was in administrative work but in the front area in Africa. Needless to say I was happy to get it. By the way, a very nice Pz Rgt 5 group and I love the shoulder boards!

              Nice trumpet banner and I must admit, I did not notice that his religion had changed also. At that time it could have been due to marriage, if you were protestant you could not marry a catholic or vice versa, many changed their religions to do so.

                Hello,

                I am a bit late to participate at this thread but I had the same kind of Soldbuch related to the same unit. He was in the Pz.Rgt.7 and ended in the Panzer-Abteilung-NORWEGEN.

                But who was the commander of this unit ?

                From 15.04.44 to 08.05.45, Major van GEMBER was the commander of the Pz.Abt.Norwegen.
