    Arbeitbuch

Abeitsbucher containing photos, although very rare, do exist. I have several in my collection.

Did it perhaps depend on where a person worked? Or certain cities or Gaus?

Unless it was nighttime, or the weather was bad, and you were running out of gas - then it was a sweaty nightmare, like a monkey f*ing a skunk.

            Maybe not exciting...

but interesting for so many reasons. The layout and design, the artwork used, and the systematic methods of creating documents which were difficult to forge or manipulate, using only the technology of the day. In addition documents like these give us a glimpse into the day-to-day influence of the state on its populace.
I look at that picture and can only imagine what her life was like. Makes me realize how lucky I am, and how manageable are my little problems.

A first for me too !!

I have several for foreign workers with photos (and some without) but not one example for a German worker !!

              Thanks for sharing.
