    Wehrpass ,.... please help

I'm buying this wehrpass. In the middle there are a lot of data - here is a picture - and i would like to know what this means. Has this actualy something incommon with the owner of the wehrass or is it something else. It is strange because some of the dates are same 22.6.41¸

I do not exactly understand what you are asking?

However, these are the combat days that his unit took part in. What role he played will be determined by his awards, wounds etc. Duplicate dates indicate that he took part in one of those actions but not specifically mentioned as it would depend on which Regiment or Battalion he belonged to.

By the looks of things he was a member of 1 Gebirgs Division.

These are perhaps the most interesting pages of the WP as they will detail the actions the soldier was inviolved in

        Hello
thanks for your replys. here are some more pictures that i got from the owner. In the wehrpass there are not many inscriptions, but the page with actions is full, as you can see on the first picture.

I would like to determinate if this soldier actually took part of some of this actions as the battles go from Belgium to Greece and .

If i can see clearely, there are 2 awards written, KVK 2. klasse (i think that it is realy next to this written 1. geb. div.) and ostmedallie.

Asfor under dienststelle there are 1. kompanie, kraftfahr - ersatz abteilung and kw. werft. komp. 54

Another inscription that i cant read is un the last picture,...inscription of a doctor.

Also i would like to ask if it is OK that the papers on the first picture are printed and glued in the wehrpass, or they had to be written by hand? In the beginning it is written and then the data goes day by day. Is it possible that the soldier did realy the whole trip (with some exceptions)?

Can you tell me something more if it comes to your mind by this data?

        thanks for your help

This person belonged to Kraftwagen Werkstatt Kompanie 54 which was the Motor Transport Workshops for 1 Gebirgs Division. It later came under Divisions Nachschubführer 54 of the same Division.

He held the rank of Handwerker which was if I remember correctly Unteroffizier in rank for a specialist, in the case mechanic!

Chances are he did not take part in any actions as such but was with the Division during the campaigns listed on page 32-33.

These pages initially were written in but as the war progressed units printed their own. It is not uncommon to see all entries written, a mix or all printed!

The War Merit Cross proves that he did his job well most probably in a non combat related role.

I will try to say samething dealing with the entry on page 35:

For me it seems that he had to pass an other medical examination to find out if he is still fit for military service on 5 Febr 1944.

The result of the medical doctor (Abteilungsarzt) of the Kommandeur der Div. Nachschub Truppen 54 is: k.v. - kriegsverwendungsfähig - fit for active service.

But I am not sure if I read correct.

                Hello
that is a lot of data explained. Thanks!

but i'm still not convinced about it.
If you compare the dates of medals, kvk 6.5.42 - the date on the list shows ssamara, and for ostmedallie 6.9.42 - westkavkasus.

As I live in Slovenia, part of EX Yugoslavia I find very interesting about all the inscriptions of this region, but i must get the best "scenario" for this wehrpass in what exactly to think about it.

Can you help me with that?

The basic wish for me to know is if this man actualy went threw our countreys or not

Although he did not take part in every action mentioned in the Wehrpass, he would have served in those countries mentioned.

If he was not there, then the entry should not be in the Wehrpass!
