Detlev Niemann Prices!?

Hi guys,
Now I know who Detlev's is.... What do we think of the prices on the site? Good value or high market prices? They seem ok for Docs, but whats your opinions on it... inc. ease of transactions etc!?

The price of all (!) Niemann valuables is 30-40% higher than normal german market price !

If you want to know normal german prices than you have o withdraw 30 or 40 % from Nieman or Weitze price. Than you have normal german prices...

Hi Fronti,
Can you please tell me where to get these "normal" prices? Every time I get in contact with somebody in Germany, as soon as they see I'm American, they add on the 30 or 40 percent again....

If he's that expensive then why is almost everything sold within 2mins of opening??? My opinion is that he is 10-20% LESS than most dealers.

Hello.

The 30-40% is for almost all big Hamburger dealers. I think this is the profit margin.

It is "normal" that everybody wants to get "Weitze or Niemann" prices in selling. If you want to sell something to a friend and you don`t know a price, than the standart procedure is to look at Weitze or Niemann and than go 30% lower. this price is almost o.K.

Where you can get this prices ? In your collector-comrade circle, or just have a look at MFF.

I take from this that the prices are what the items are worth and sometimes from different people in different circumstances, I could possibly get them cheaper!

Yeah, I would have to agree with you. I have never purchased from him, but I browse the site and have noticed that the Wehrpasse prices seem fair. I cannot speak for anything else though.

I agree that normal German prices are way cheaper. When I went to local shows I scored many nice items significantly cheaper then what Detlev offers. I think the reason his stuff sells is that it is on the net which reaches all over the world and hits many different markets that are more expensive then the market in Germany. Not only that but it's Niemann his name alone exudes confidence especially with inexperienced collectors who may not shop other places because it is not a sure thing.

Paid 90 Euros for a Krimschild and standart 50 Euros for EK II at my last collector-meeting.
