    SOS show report for Solduchs?

    Hello Gentlemen,
Does anyone who went to the SOS show have a report of the availability of any interesting soldbuchs?
    Thank you,
    Curtiss

There Seemed To Be More Wherpass Books Than Soldbuchs At S0S 2008.
Most Of The Soldbuchs I Did See Were Top Of The Line. Not To Many "Plain Jane" Books.
At 1 Table I Went Through A Stack Of 21 SS Books, All Were From Different Units. They All Looked Unmessed With.
I Also Came Across Several Panzer, 1 U-boat And 1 KL Guard From Auschwitz.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but can you tell us more about the Wehrpasse that were for sale?

          Good morning Steve,
Were any of the soldbuchs to DKiG or RKT holders? Do you know if any are still available?
          Thank you,
          Curtiss

21 SS Soldbücher at one table?!? Wow! Steve- were any of those to SS-Panzer or SS-StuG units? Were there any SS KL guard books? How were the prices?

Do you remember who was selling them?

Also... did anyone happen to see any SS-Ausweis for sale?

            Thanks,
            Rob

I bought the most completely filled out Soldbuch I have ever seen. It was in baet up shape, but it was his original book issued in 1939 with the last entry being December 1944. He was an Infantryman, ending up as a Feldwebel in Panzergrenadier Rgt. 2 in time for "Wacht am Rhein." Very cool! His photo is as a Feldwebel.

As a lesson to my German reenacting buddies (I am guilty of too many awards myself), he fought the whole war and only got the IC2 and the wound badge in black. I don't know how the Infantry Assault was missed... but it was.

The Soldbuch also came with two additional documents. A fold out "Merkblatt für den Gruppenführer" and a one page "Denke daran!" sheet.

              A steal at $100!
