This number is in a uniform of a Officer of a Coastelart. unit. It's in fact a EM KM Coastelart. enlisted field jacket converted to a Officer. Problem is......that the the book "The German Fieldpostoverview 1939-1945" says the number 18292 is from a Infanterie Regiment (527) or Grenadier Regiment (525) ..........

Can someone see a identify this number to a some KM Coastelart. unit......???????

these 2 Units are th eonly units that they had this Feldpost Nr.
Im not sure if the number on the Tag means the FpNr tho

Thanks but thats in the books Die Deutsche Feldpostübersicht 1939-1945 (part I) I already refered to.......so i had already the same idea i had.....maybe it isn't....a FP number..................

Perhaps someone can help any further with this................

That is not a Feldpost number but a Kriegsmarine Stammrollennummer.

When he joined he came under Admiral der Nordsee His personal number was 18292 and he joined up in 1940. E was his Laufbahn or trade.

Same number that would appear on his dog tag!
