    help with this solduch, kurland?

    hi!

need opinions about this soldbuch, the seller says that the soldier was awarded the kurland cufftitle. Are these inscriptions original? what do you think?
    Please see the third photo.
    thanks.

From what I can see, I'm really not loving it...

      Soldbuch

I like the book and photo along with everything else except for the Kurland Cuff entry. I would ask the guys if that unit he was with fought in the Kurland pocket.

I'm the guy selling the Soldbuch. Yes the Beob. Abt 12 was in the Kurland pocket and surrendered there. Many of the Kurland entries I've seen did not have the stamp on them. I believe that was due to the capitulation of the whole pocket and the destruction of many of the stamps prior to going into captivity. I give a life time quarantee for all my sales.

Just to clarify my earlier short answer, I think the book looks good, and the lack of the stamp doesn't bother me too much. I just don't like the style of writing & signature.

Just my "gut" feeling, and I don't have anything to compare it with, as far as other Kurland entries.

Edit: Also, looks like the date of the Kurland award is 8.5.45. The last thing pictured that's dated (that I see) is the Fuhrergeschenk, in April 1944. Are there any other entries that bridge the gap, that aren't shown here?

          best,
          Hank

There is a security check on page 15 for 1 Sept. 44. from Beob. Abtl. 12.
