    Hello,

    Larry
    :
It is very clear that the bravery is not always necessary to participate in an action against the partisans (it is always easy to attack defenseless villages). Nevertheless, I think that the Beerlover's
remark is based. When he indicates a gap enter the only decoration of the Wehrpass (Medaille of 1. Okt. on 1938) and the Bandenkampfabzeichen Bronze. There is a great difference to have participated in great operations against the partisans and a fight against the partisans. Obtaining the Bandenkampfabzeichen implies an active participation. I have in my collection a Soldbuch Polizei with an impressive list of participation in operations against the partisans but no decoration for the Bandenkampfabzeichen. As a general rule, the Bandenkampfabzeichen is very often accompanied with other decorations. By making a fast exam of 5 documents on which is the registration of the Bandenkampfabzeichen, I found respectively : 11 , 7 , 6, 11 and 3 other decorations !

I would be very interested to know the URL which allows to see the list of the main operations against the partisans.

    Jeff :

Thank you, I looked for something of more complicated while it was enough to make simple.

    Beerlover :

Very satisfied for you. Is it about images of the salesman ? Have you other images of the diploma ?

    Cordial greetings.

I am sure you are correct, Polux. I am a researcher and author of history and I know very little about decorations. It is just not my area of interest. No doubt Beerlover meant what you said, but I as well as others misunderstood him.

      The URL is: http://www.axishistory.com/

Since several days ago, both Axis History Forum and Axis History Factbook have been down for a replacement of the software and a full backup of the site's hard drive, which contains several million postings and photo. It is the largest WW II web site in existence. You can read all about it here:

      http://www.feldgrau.net/phpBB2/viewt...r=asc&start=15

Begin with the Feb. 17, 2008 posts and read through to the end.

When Axis History Factbook comes back up, here is what you do:

      1) click on "Croatia", then
      2) scroll down the menu for Croatia until you see "Anti-Partisan Operations";
      3) there you will find a menu listing c.140 of them, all of which I wrote.

      Regards,

      --Larry

What's the stamp and who's supposed to have signed this? I can see it's a HSSPF stamp but can't make out which one, Küstenland? Is the sig supposed to be that of Globocnik?

          Hello Larry,

I shall not miss to consult the list of the operations against the partisans from the restoring the site Axis History Forum. Thank you for your indications.

          Hello Simon,

The diploma presents a good imitation of the signature
of Odilo Globocnik and a very good copy of the stamp "Waffen-SS 2 der höhere SS-u. Polizeiführe in der Operationzone Adriatisches Küstenland ".

          Cordial greetings.

          Polux

I do not like the BKA stamps, just my opinion.

Even the OZAK BKA certificates were supposed to be signed by Globus I've seen already another very good copy of his signature on a BKA recently, s, since even in this case the signature looks not right to me I would really like to hear Max History opinion, since he knows a lot about Globus sign.

So please Max just add your opinion!

            Cheers

              Hello,

              Very intresting thread!
When I saw it first, I thought I was dealing with an original bandenkampf abz. entry.
But now with the help of "Polux" I have to change my opinion.
Comparing with a well known original is often the best way to come to a conclusion.

              Cheers,
              Peter

Polux: the Axis History Factbook site was back up and worked as of yesterday. The Forum site is still down, I believe.

You can find the anti-partisan operations here:

                  Hello,

By making researches on Ebay, I found a Dienstpass Polizei to sell. It carried still the same stamp "RTB 213" with the same list of fight !!!

                  Cordial greetings.

                    Hi

Last year there are some new Police Soldbücher and Dienstpasses with BKA Stamp in different dealer sites for sale. So it is not a really one period Stamp.
