    Help with translation???

    Hey guys, I recently bought a Arbeitsbuch and this was in it. Could someone please tell me some of the thing it says?? I appreciate any help provided.

                He was discharged by the French Occupation Army in Germany (Saarland area).

                In the German army he was a private 1st class (Obergefreiter)

                The only date I can see is 1949.

                  Also, he was a locksmith (Schlosser), and upon discharge, he received a suit, pair of shoes, 1 pair socks, 1 shirt of some sort, 1 pair underwear. No undershirt, that's lined through.
