Classes of vehicles on military drivers licenses

I've seen examples of military drivers licenses with various combinations of classes 2-4 represented in the space that lists what class of vehicle the bearer is qualified to drive. Does anyone know what sorts of vehicles each class represent?

Hi,

- Klasse 1 is : moto et moto-side (Krad or Krad mit Beiwagen)

- Klasse 2 is : truck over 3,5 t. (LKW)

- Klasse 3 is : car under 3,5 t. (PKW)

- Klasse 4 is : other véhicule with a speed under 20 kms or under 250 cm3.

License Klasse 2 include Klasse 3 and Klasse 1, 2 and 3 include Klasse 4.

Not sure about 4 but I have a few examples to it also, moped or something!?!?

1 - Motorcycle
2 - truck
3 - car

Were there any other special classes or is 1-4 it?

According to the Luftwaffe, in the 1943 Verordnungsblatt (p.285 #548), they stated that since armored tracked vehicles fell under class 2, They would be further divided into class A: GVW up to 15 tons, B: GVW 16-30 tons, C: GVW over 30 tons. I don't think I've ever saw these used but suppose they may have been used in the Panzer Div. HG.
