    Kriegsmarine dogtag,opinions wanted

    So I got this KM-dogtag, any know fakes of these and is this one good or bad, trying to learn more about KM-items in general.

    If I have understood correctly the 44 in the end means that it was issued 1944? And what are the numbers telling you?

      Looking good, the number is just the number of the guy to which the tag belonged. the 44 is the year when he joined the kriegsmarine and got the tag.
