Hi all i wanted to share this nice soldbuch from my collection i have.
I want to thank Ian Jewison for helping me translating it as well.
About the soldbuch:
He appears to have been Infantry, wounded by a bullet in the thigh....considered no longer fit to be infantry and transfered to a Signals unit. This unit 504 served in Africa and Tunisia...indications show he was issued tropical uniform on 2.2.1943 and there is a security check on page 15 dated 25.1.1943 and he could well have been a member of the Deutsches Afrika Korps....he escaped and stayed with the same unit through reformation....serving in France somewhere during D-Day under Army Group B....later involved in the Ardennes offensive!
awards : EK 2nd cl , WB black , Winter medal 41/42 , IAB silver
