    Wehrpass EKI entry

Guys, what do you think of this EKI entry on a WP currently for sale on the E-stand?
It's item #522 in the list

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=253193

In short, the guy belonged to 1./ Aufkl.Abt.99 of the 7 Geb.Div.
He was wounded on the 14.Okt.44, the other relevant dates you see on these pages.

    Hello Simon,

IMHO it is a homemade upgrade.
    - Look at the difference in the #7 in both citations.

    Cheers,
    Peter

I guess it's supposed to be october, same date as the WB award.

Out of interest, he was wounded whilst fighting the Finns south of Rovaniemi. AA 99 had been in defensive positions across a road leading to the town (which was also HQ for the 20 Geb.Armee) when Finnish troops outflanked and cut off the whole abteilung requiring elements of GJR 218 to come to their rescue.

          Hello,

The wp and his story seem to be OK, only it is a shame that someone did feel the need to upgrade it with an EK1.
We all know it has happend before....
Simon if you are intrested in the story, I wouldn't mind that fake entry to much.

          Cheers,
          Peter

Looks definately squeezed in.....however it is a poor scan and black and white....that way to deceive!?!?!?!?

As you can see, 1 line per award and an authorsing siganture.....3 signatures, 3 awards!!! I see none that are in the same hand to authorised multiple awards!?!?!??
