This is the find of my life!

    Hi all,
    I still can't believe what I've found.
OK, a few months before my mother passed away in Dec.05 she showed me a death card of my uncle who died on the russian front in Nov.42. I decided that my mum should hang on to it. Her house is now for sale and 3 days ago I was cleaning up her cupboard and looking for that death card. Unfortunately no luck yet in finding it BUT, out of the blue amongst some old letters I found this.

Of course, it's my mums but she never mentioned it to me. Also there are photos of my uncles in uniform, one in a panzer uniform. Of my entire collection this is now by far THE most important piece I have and will ever own. I'm a very happy boy. Thanks Mum!

    Here it is.

    Regards,
    AB.

      Interesting find

      Andrew,

A very interesting find indeed. The personal bits of TR memorabilia are always the most interesting. My wife is German and her family still have her dad's photos from the Russian Front which no none else wanted so I claimed them and now they are over in good old "Blighty".

I have a few bits and pieces from my father who fought in the Dutch army in 1940. Therefore I know how valueable this is for you.
          Congratulations with this great find!

AB, you are lucky. With all the contact I had with my relatives in Germany, I came away with nothing.

Hope that you find other Items as well.
Do some 'dumpser diving' & check all of the Nooks & Crannies in the House!
