Whats In A KM Soldbuch

Guys,

Is there any reference material around that can tell you what you are loking at in Soldbuchs? What I mean is somewhere that can translate the German on each page so you know what you are looking at on each page and what each section is for.

I'm just getting into these now and the one I have in my hand would make a lot more sense if I knew what info is in it. The handwritten entries will come later (with some forum assistance no doubt.

Mark, there are several books to choose from. Emilie Stewarts book, which is out of print, "Papers Please'" and Young and Meinz's "Third Reich Era Documents, volume two."

Hi mark,
Be aware that a KM soldbuch differs in layout compared to a Heer style soldbuch on that site.
KM also have more pages and KM Soldbuchs will be found with ID photos from an earlier date as well.
