    Opinions on D-Day Wehrpass

I bought a Wehrpass a few years ago to a falschimjager who fought in the Normady invasion on 6 June 1944. I was going to list it on the estand but I am not sure if it is legit or what the current valuse is. Any opinions out there?????

          Hi,

Very nice WP . The II FJ korps is a common unit. I have 2 WP with the same unit. The value ???????
          Thanks, David.

I'm not sure I would call the man a Fallschirmjaeger unless you have some evidence of Fallschirm training. He was assigned to the headquarters of II.FSK - but it is not clear what his duty assignment was. He still counts as a Normandy soldier based on his battle entries.

Maybe someone knows more details - but the story I heard is that a crate was found in "a barn" maybe 20 or 25 years ago with the Wehrpaesse for II.FSK. Many people ended up with them, including me, as they went on the market. You can tell them quickly by that II.FSK stamp - and often by some rat bites on the edges as well.
