    Feldpost Number 23375 Help please

    Hello, I have a photo of an early or pre-war German soldier on a WH motorbike with sidecar and written on the back is "Soldat Willy Ballau Feldpost No. 23375" Could anyone please tell me what unit this is ?

    The other photos show him as a dispatch rider with 8 ton prime-movers (all the other soldiers are wearing soutache M34 sidecaps or double decal M35 helmets) and other photos as part of the crew of a 37MM Anti-tank gun (wearing tropical M40's & Y straps with the European uniform). There are also photos of him and the rest of his unit being out-fitted with the full early tropical uniform. Any help would be much appreciated.

    (Mobilmachung-1.1.1940) Werkstatt-Kompanie 26,
    (19.7.1941-14.2.1942) Kraftwagen-Werkstatt-Kompanie 26,
    (6.4.1944-9.11.1944) 6.10.1944 Kfz.-Instandsetzungs-Zug 26,
    19.10.1944 cancelled.

          Wow, thanks guys that was so fast I am spell-bound.

          I really appreciate the help, now I can get on and research if they were in Afrika which I suspect at this he was but was it with that unit ?
