    Soldbuch and Feldgendarmerie?

    I had heard somewhere that if a Feldgendarmerie checked a soldier's Soldbuch, that not wearing all the awards listed in the Soldbuch could result in disciplinary action against that soldier.

    Is this accurate, and if so, how strictly was it enforced, and did it refer to dress uniforms, field uniforms or both? Was exception made for Panzertruppe, since they could be hindered by things on their uniform becoming caught while entering and exiting vehicles?

    I doubt not wearing awards would result in disciplinary action as you see many do not wear their full entitlement.

    However, wearing awards that he is not entitled to would definately result in disciplinary action!

    I remember a group of documents for sale some years ago had his punishment record and he had actually had something like 28 days close arrest for wearing an Infantry Assault that was not entered in his Soldbuch......according to the documents that were there, he wasn't entilted to it!

    I'm not at home at the moment but do have a Merkblatt for Feldgendarmerie which gives an insight for some "menial" punishments but can not remember what they were.....will take a look when I return.
